Through a Child’s Eye: Places the Kids Will Love
What is enjoyable, interesting, memorable, educational, fun, depends on the age and interests of the children concerned. A newborn, a week or two old, taken to an outdoor classical concert, may begin a life long love of music while happily ensconced in a baby seat set on a blanket laid out on the grass. Total awareness, no, just emotional responses to the happiness of the crowd, the attention from family, friends and strangers and the music floating in the warm night air.
A toddler may be delighted with exploring a sand box or playground with their parents in constant attendance.
Children five to ten will enjoy The Tucson Children’s Museum. Located in downtown Tucson, it inhabits the historic Carnegie Library and may inspire your child to take an interest in history and architecture. The Museum offers amazing hands on exhibits. Children can climb on a fire truck, wander through Dinosaur Canyon, and visit a vet clinic and an enchanted rain forest all under one roof.
Children of any age will find enjoyment at any of the art and arts and crafts fairs offered throughout the year.
A child’s age, temperament, and educational level all influence what they will see and remember. Try not to over schedule and do provide calm loving guidance along with the freedom to safely explore their world.
